REGISTRATION NOTICE OF
2023 BEIKE BEIJING MARATHON & NATIONAL MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS(BEIJING)

1. RACE INFORMATION

1.1 Race Date and Start Time

Sunday, 7:30 a.m. October 29th, 2023

a. National Marathon Championships: 200

b. Elite Athletes: 15

c. 2023 BEIKE Beijing Marathon: 20,000

1.4 Race Course

a. Start: Tian’anmen Square, Beijing.

b. Finish: Beijing Olympic Park Landscape Avenue

Race Course goes through Dongcheng District, Xicheng District, Haidian District, and Chaoyang District in Beijing.

2. REGISTRATION METHOD

Log in Beijing Marathon official website or cooperative app.

3. ELIGIBILITY FOR REGISTRATION

3.1 General Participants

a. Age: All the entrants should be over 20 years old.

Note: To ensure physical health and life safety, participants aged 65 and above should strengthen their self-assessment of their health status.

b. Marathon result within 6 hours or Half Marathon result within 3 hours since Jan.1st 2019 to Sep.24th 2023. The experience of virtual marathon will not be accepted.

3.2 National Marathon Championships athletes

The eligibility for registration of 2023 National Marathon Championship (Beijing station) shall be in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of 2023 National Marathon Championship issued by the Chinese Athletics Association.

4. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS OF PARTICIPANTS

4.1 Participants must sign and submit the Health and Safety Responsibility Commitment Letter before the race bag pick-up.

4.2 Marathon is a sport that constantly challenges athletes’ own limits and has certain risks. If the movement is improper, may cause different degrees of physical injury, or even endanger life. Therefore, athletes should be in good health and have a regular basis of running exercise or training. Moreover, athletes should undergo physical examination in qualified formal medical institutions, and evaluate their physical condition based on the physical examination report to confirm whether they can participate in marathon events.

a. Congenital heart diseases and rheumatic heart diseases.

b. Hypertension and cerebral vascular diseases.

c. Myocarditis and other heart diseases.

d. Coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia.

e. Diabetes with hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia.

f. Having a cold within two weeks before the race.

g. Drinking too much alcohol or not getting enough sleep the night before the race.

h. Pregnancy.

i. Those who had unprotected close contact with a person infected with the Covid-19 in the 3 days prior to the race and who had not been excluded from the risk of infection.

j. Those who are infected with the Covid-19 or have suspected symptoms such as fever, cough, fatigue, smell or taste loss, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, conjunctivitis, myalgia and diarrhea, and have not been ruled out as being at risk.

k. Other diseases unsuitable for sports.

5. REGISTRATION AND LOTTERY

5.1 The registration opens at 10:00 a.m. on September 28th, 2023 and closes at 10:00 a.m. on October 1st, 2023.

5.2 The lottery result will be announced in early-to-mid October.

7. ENTRY FEE

7.1 General Entry: 200 RMB/person

7.2 Charity Entry: 2000 RMB/person

Charity Entry only opens to applicants who registered and fail in lottery. The public will be informed of the flow of the charity money after the race.

7.3 Once the entry is confirmed, entry fee is not refundable.

8. DIRECT ENTRY

According to the relevant rules of the four events (include the Beijing Marathon 40th Anniversary Online Race held in 2020, the Nanjing Marathon 2020, the Guangzhou Marathon 2023, and the Beijing Marathon Nine Stars Runners), a direct entry shall meet all the rules and registration requirements of the Beijing Marathon 2023 and must complete the registration on the official website or the cooperative app in time, otherwise it shall be deemed as voluntarily given up and not be reserved. The list of direct entry will be released through the official website. 

9. NO-SPRINT WHEELCHAIR ENTRANTS

Besides the normal registration on website or APP, no-sprint wheelchair entrants still need to log in the official website of Beijing Marathon and download the “no-sprint wheelchair application form”, then send it with the marathon event  certificate, disability certificate scanned documents or photos to the email (oc@beijing-marathon.com) before 10:00 a.m. October 1st, 2023, the organizing committee will check the qualification and send the result via email. Participants shall be held responsible for all the consequences arising out of the approval in writing from the organizing committee. 

10. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

10.1 All entrants should fill in registration form truthfully. The organizing committee will verify the authenticity of the information. False information will lead to disqualification from 2023 Beijing Marathon.

10.2 Any person who uses FALSE information to obtain qualification, transfer or use the old bib in the race shall be responsible for all consequences. After the violation is verified and confirmed by the organizing committee, the violators will be punished with a lifetime ban of the Beijing Marathon, and shall be reported to the Chinese Athletics Association for additional punishment.

10.3 Applicants who fail to complete the entry fee payment within the designated time will have the entry canceled automatically.

10.4 If the event is unable to be held or postponed due to force majeure, the organizing committee will notify separately.

10.5 The setting of the courses, water/sponge station and mobile toilets are not specially set for users with wheelchair, baby carriage, roller skate etc. In order to fully protect the personal safety of all participants, strollers are not allowed on the race course, and the organizing committee has the right to remove the strollers from the race course.
