I am so proud of you – in search of “super Beijing Marathon runner”stars
Since Beijing Marathon enrolment started up on June 16, 2011, Beijing Marathon Organizing Committee has decided to look for stars of “super Beijing Marathon runner” in the theme of “I am so proud of you” among nationwide participants. Since then, the organizing committee mailbox has received letters from marathon fans across the country. The organizing committee will arrange an online voting for star runners this year. The top 10 contestants will win the honorary title of “super Beijing Marathon runner”, and a subsidy of 5,000 yuan each from Beijing Marathon Fund. The winners will participate in related activities and charity public benefit activities sponsored by the organizing committee. The detailed rules for the activity are presented as follows:
Description of the activity:
As a brand name component of Beijing Marathon competition, the activity will evaluate moving participants that excite people’s mind in its history of 31 years. Each candidate must have moral forces that shake people’s mindsets. The activity will be cultivated into a “spiritual epic of Marathon.”
The Beijing Marathon stars are defined as follows: their stories took place during Beijing marathons, or they attracted wide public attentions among Beijing marathons and audiences.
Candidates:
1. Have the experience of participating in Beijing marathon for at least once, disregarding the age and nationality.
2. Their personal experiences or behaviors relating to Beijing marathons moved themselves and people around them.
Participation methods:
Submit your personal materials, marathon results, stories with Beijing marathons and long-distance running, in photos plus written descriptions, to the organizing committee.

Deadline for contribution: July 31, 2011
Recommendation modes and time:
1. The organizing committee will recommend proper candidates and list the reasons in accordance with the solicited materials.
Time: July 1 to 31
2. Beijing Marathon Organizing Committee will publicize the eligible candidate names and arrange public online voting.
Time: July 1 to 31
3. The organizing committee will identify the top 10 “super Beijing Marathon runners of 2011” according to public voting result.
Time: August 1 to 5
Awarding method:
1. The winners will be awarded with the honorary title of “super Beijing Marathon runner”.
2. Beijing Marathon Fund will grant each of the top 10 pop stars with 5,000 yuan subsidy for participating in the long-distance running activity.
3. The winners will participate in related activities organized by the 2011 Beijing Marathon organizing committee, including competition press conferences, science seminars, meetings with athletes, and dinner parties.
